Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Egypt
As soon as you get off the plane, you will see our WanderLuxe airport agent holding a sign with your name on it. He will help you get your Egypt`s visa, lead you through baggage claim, and then escort you to your hotel

Day 2: The Great Pyramids of Giza & The Grand Egyptian Museum & Camel Ride
Breakfast at hotel. We start our tour with The Great Giza Pyramids—Cheops (Khufu), Chephren (Khafre), and Mycerinus (Menkaure)—are magnificent monuments built over 4,500 years ago as royal tombs for the kings of ancient Egypt. The Pyramid of Cheops is the largest, and the only surviving wonder of the ancient Seven world Wonders; they are in the bucket list of everyone travelling to Egypt
The Great Sphinx: the Oldest and Biggest lion`s body , human headed shaped giant statue ever known from ancient Egypt , located right next to Giza Pyramids. Close to the Sphinx lies the Valley Temple, a well-preserved funerary structure where King Chephren and members of his royal family were mummified, before they were headed to final burials inside their Pyramids. A brief Camel Ride in front of the Pyramids with the option of individual and group portraits! Lunch in an authentic, local restaurant.
Visit the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). The GEM is the largest archaeological museum in the world. It houses thousands of artefacts from Ancient Egypt, including the complete 5,000-piece King Tut collection with many pieces being displayed for the very first time

Day 3: National Museum of Egyptian Civilization & Citadel and Alabaster Mosque & Souk of Khan El Khalili
Breakfast at hotel. Today , we start with the New Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), whose exhibits are designed to offer visitors a holistic experience of the evolution of Egyptian civilization. It exhibits the Best 22 Royal Golden Mummies of Egyptian Pharaohs who ruled Egypt thousands of years ago including that mummy of King Ramsses II. Short drive to visit the Citadel of Saladin: A Muslim Fortress that was built in 1183 AD which remained as the residence of kings and seat of governments for about seven centuries, and houses a beautiful Mosque in alabaster stone, built by Muhammed Ali, King of Egypt between 1805 – 1849. Lunch in local restaurant. End your day with the Grand Bazaar of Khan El Khalili (The Souk) “Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s most famous bazaar, was established in the 14th century during the Mamluk period. Located in the historic core of Islamic Cairo, the market is distinguished by its uniquely preserved architecture, featuring ornate old buildings that reflect the artistic and cultural influences of medieval Egypt.

Day 4: Fly to Luxor & East Bank – Karnak and Luxor Temples & Nile Felucca Ride
Breakfast at Hotel & Fly to Luxor. Upon arrival, you visit the Karnak Temple complex, a vast open-air museum, and the second largest ancient religious site in the world. Construction at Karnak started 4,000 years ago and continued for 2,000 years. Each Egyptian ruler who worked at Karnak left his or her own architectural mark. Approximately 30 pharaohs contributed to the buildings here, creating a complex unlike any other. Later you visit Luxor Temple, a beautiful structure packed with history and legends. Construction took over 100 years, between 1370 BC and 1295 BC, and was added to by four different pharaohs. It is distinguished by its very beautiful granite obelisk of King Ramesses II. You will visit the newly opened Avenue of the Sphinxes ; Also called the King’s Festivities Road, this 1.7-mile-long avenue connects Karnak Temple with Luxor Temple, with human-headed sphinxes lined up on both flanks. Lunch in a local restaurant Check in Your Hotel. End your day tour with a relaxing ride on a Felucca on the Nile. Back to Hotel & Overnight

Day 5: West Bank, Valley of the Kings, Temple of Medinat Habu, Colossi of Memnon
Breakfast at Hotel. Today you visit the iconic Valley of the Kings, the most historically significant archaeological site in the world. For the past 200 years, archaeologists have been exploring the site, and have discovered 64 ancient tombs, including the most famous of all – the tomb of King Tut! You will enter and explore three tombs. Later take a short drive to the largest Mortuary Temple of pharaoh Ramesses III with its very fresh colours which have been restored recently. You end your visit to the West Bank with the largest statues ever sculpted in Luxor, known as Colossi of Memnon, which were made for King Amenophis III. Lunch at a local restaurant. Flight back to Cairo & Fly Home
