





Grand Tour of Egypt
Overview
This tour package explores the highlights of the two major cities in Egypt: Cairo as the present capital of Egypt and the largest city in Africa, as well as Luxor, the ancient capital which is aged over 3,500 years old. Starting in Cairo, visiting The Great Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx; then to the Grand Egyptian Museum as one of the biggest in the world, exploring the beautiful, old Islamic monuments, and walking down its 13 th century Souk. Then flying to Luxor for a couple of days to dive deeper in history by visiting the most interesting sites: The Valley of the Kings, the Temples of Karnak as the largest ever in Egypt, and an unforgettable ride on a Nile Felucca, and MUCH MORE!!!

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Egypt
As soon as you get off the plane, you will see our airport agent holding a sign with your name on it. They will help you get your Egyptian visa, lead you through baggage claim, and then escort you to your hotel!

Day 2: The Great Pyramids of Giza & Camel Ride & Sakkara Step Pyramid & Private Tomb
You can’t start a tour of amazing Egypt without a visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza! These three phenomenal pyramids served as monumental burial sites where the Ancient Egyptian kings were buried. You will have the option to enter the biggest and most famous – the Great Pyramid of Cheops. We’ll take a brief Camel Ride in front of the Pyramids with the option to take individual and group portraits! Visit the Great Sphinx. Lunch in an authentic local restaurant. After lunch, head to Sakkara to visit the oldest stone building in the world known as the Step Pyramid and have a chance to visit the old tombs in the oldest famous necropolis.

Day 3: Early Flight from Cairo to Aswan & Philae Temple & High Dam & Felucca Ride

Day 4: Full Day tour to Abu Simbel by Bus
Breakfast on Cruise. Then drive to Abu Simbel in the early morning. Abu Simbel is located in Egypt`s Nubia, south of Aswan city. Two huge rock-cut temples were built by King Ramesses II, aged over 3,200 years old. They are some of the BEST- preserved gigantic temples in Egypt, saved by UNESCO from the rising waters behind the new Dam.

Day 5: Sailing to Kom Ombo & Mummified Crocodile Museum & Edfu Temple
Breakfast on Cruise. Short walk to visit the temple of the crocodile god Sobek at Kom Ombo, then to the nearby Museum of Mummified Crocodiles. Then we sail for a distance of almost 4 hours; having lunch on board; then we stop to visit the most preserved monument of Egypt, the Temple of Edfu by horse and carriage. Sailing and overnight on Cruise.

Day 6: Sailing to Luxor & Valley of The Kings & Temple of Queen Hatshepsut & Colossi of Memnon
(Optional Hot Air Balloon Ride over the Valley of Kings). Breakfasts, then we check out from the cruise. We take a drive to the West Bank of Luxor to visit the magnificent Valley of the Kings, where you can go inside three different tombs. We will get you an extra ticket to King Tut`s Tomb. Next we take a short drive to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only remaining monument in three terraces, and finally stop for a photo in front of the gigantic Colossi of Memnon statues. Check in at Luxor hotel. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 7: Temples of Karnak & Temple of Luxor & Drive to the Red Sea (About 4 Hours)
Breakfast in hotel. Check out. Then you visit Karnak Temple complex, a vast open-air museum, and the second largest ancient religious site in the world. Construction at Karnak started 4,000 years ago and continued for 2,000 years. Each Egyptian ruler who worked at Karnak left his or her own architectural mark. Approximately 30 pharaohs contributed to the buildings here, creating a complex unlike any other. Visit Luxor Temple; a beautiful structure packed with history and legends. Construction took about 100 years, between 1370 BC and 1295 BC, and was added to by four different pharaohs. You will visit the newly opened Avenue of Sphinxes. Also called the King’s Festivities Road, or Rams Road, this 1.7-mile-long avenue connects Karnak Temple with Luxor Temple, with sphinxes and ram-headed statues lined up on both flanks. Lunch in Luxor. Drive to The Red Sea resort, Hurghada (almost 4 hours). Check in at resort hotel.

Day 8: Free Day at Leisure by the Red Sea

Day 9: Fly back to Cairo, then drive to Alexandria & nice day by the Mediterranean Sea

Day 10: Drive from Alexandria to Siwa via El Alamein coast Road

Day 11: Visit Siwa Monuments: Mountain of Dead – Cleopatra`s Pool – Fatnis Island

Day 12: Lakes & Safari Tours & Sand Boarding

Day 13:
Check out from Siwa Hotel & Drive Back to Cairo & Free Evening

Day 14: Grand Egyptian Museum & Citadel & Mosque of Muhammed Ali & Coptic Cairo & Souk
Visit the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM); then visit the Citadel and the Mosque of King Muhammed Ali. Drive to Old Cairo with its Hanging and St. Sergius Churches, and then wrap up your trip with the largest Souk of Khan El Khalili.

Day 15: Departure from Egypt
After breakfast, check out from hotel and fly home
