Overview
This tour package explores the highlights of the two major cities in Egypt: Cairo as the present capital of Egypt and the largest city in Africa, as well as Luxor, the ancient capital which is aged over 3,500 years old. Starting in Cairo, visiting The Great Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx; then to the Grand Egyptian Museum as one of the biggest in the world, exploring the beautiful, old Islamic monuments, and walking down its 13 th century Souk. Then flying to Luxor for a couple of days to dive deeper in history by visiting the most interesting sites: The Valley of the Kings, the Temples of Karnak as the largest ever in Egypt, and an unforgettable ride on a Nile Felucca, and MUCH MORE!!!

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Egypt
As soon as you get off the plane, you will see our airport agent holding a sign with your name on it. They will help you get your Egyptian visa, lead you through baggage claim, and then escort you to your hotel!

Day 2: The Great Pyramids of Giza & Camel Ride & Sakkara Step Pyramid & Private Tomb
Breakfast at Hotel. Visit the Great Pyramids of Giza: one of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World, the best preserved pyramids in Egypt. The Great Sphinx: the oldest and biggest human-headed statue with the body of a lion ever known from Ancient Egypt, located right next to Giza Pyramids. The Valley Temple: where mummified dead bodies of Egyptian Pharaohs were prepared before they headed to their final burials inside their Pyramids. A brief Camel Ride in front of the Pyramids with the option of individual and group portraits! Lunch in an authentic, local restaurant. After Lunch head to Sakkara to visit the oldest stone building in the world known as the Step Pyramid, get a chance to visit the Tomb of Kagemni in the oldest part of the necropolis, and then go inside the Pyramid of King Teti.

Day 3: The Grand Egyptian Museum & Sultan Hassan and Rafie Mosques & Ibn Tulun with Islamic Panoramic View & Nile Felucca Ride
Breakfast at hotel. Visit the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). The GEM is the largest archaeological museum in the world. It houses thousands of artefacts from Ancient Egypt, including the complete 5,000-piece King Tut collection with many pieces being displayed for the very first time. Later you start your visit to Islamic Cairo with the 14th century Mosque- Madrasa of Sultan Hassan with its massive architectural components and the adjacent Mosque of Rafie which has some mausoleums of the last royal family members and the last Shah of Iran. Then take a very short drive to find yourself diving into a very old street of Cairo and climb up the big steps of an old unique minaret of the Ibn Tulun Mosque to be able to enjoy the view of the Islamic district. Lunch in a local restaurant. End your day tour with a relaxing sail on a Felucca on the Nile at sunset.

Day 4: National Museum of Egyptian Civilization & Citadel and Alabaster Mosque & Coptic Cairo Churches & El Moez Islamic Street & Souk of Khan El Khalili
Breakfast at hotel Visit Cairo’s new Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), whose exhibits are designed to offer visitors a holistic experience of the evolution of Egyptian civilization. The museum includes six main galleries entitled: ‘The Dawn of Civilization’, ‘The Nile’, ‘Writing, State and Society’, ‘Material Culture’, ‘Beliefs and Thinking’, and ‘the Gallery of Royal Mummies’. Short drive to visit the Citadel of Saladin: a Muslim Fortress that was built in 1183 AD which remained as the residence of kings and seat of governments for about seven centuries, and houses a beautiful Mosque in alabaster stone, built by Muhammed Ali, King of Egypt between 1805 – 1849. Later you will enjoy walking in the Coptic District and visiting the oldest churches of the Virgin Mary, the Hanging Church which dates back to the 4th century, and the Church of St. Sergius with its most interesting feature, the Crypt where Mary, Joseph and the infant Jesus rested. Lunch in local restaurant. End your day with a tour in the old Islamic Street of El Moez and the Souk.

Day 5: Departure from Egypt
After breakfast, check out from hotel and fly home
